Nizwa, the cultural capital and a wealth of ancient monuments, is one of the largest cities in Oman and the prominent 17th-century fortress in the center, built over a period of more than a decade, is a beautiful place to visit. The fortress has a 40-meter round tower that offers fantastic views of the surrounding Hajar Mountains and the date plantations. You will also visit the Nizwa souq (market), where the locals trade both traditional and imported goods, from vegetables to jewelry. After that you will visit old village called birkat Al Mouz to witness the old settlements surrounded by oasis and watered by aqueducts. Al Jabal Al Akhder is next which is known for its green mountains landscapes, plantations, cold weather in winter and moderate weather in summer. Up in the mountains will visit the plateau to watch the terraces views, walk at old villages and visit wadi bani Habib
