Discover Oman's classic highlights and remote landscapes on a ten-day private journey. Begin with Muscat and the Daymaniyat Islands, travel through Bimmah Sinkhole and Wadi Shab to Sur, experience Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahiba Sands, cross toward Ras Ruwais and the Sugar Dunes, then explore Nizwa, Jabal Akhdar, Jabal Shams, Misfat, Wadi Bani Awf, Bilad Sayt and Wakan Village.

Itinerary

   Day 1 - Muscat City Tour | Muscat. Visit Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Muttrah Souq and waterfront, Al Alam Palace and the Portuguese forts, Bait Al Zubair Museum, and the Royal Opera House.

   Day 2 - Daymaniyat Islands | Muscat. Join a 4-5 hour snorkeling excursion from Al Mouj Marina to the protected islands, with coral reefs, turtles, rays and colourful marine life.

   Day 3 - Bimmah Sinkhole, Wadi Shab and Sur | Sur. Visit Bimmah Sinkhole, take the boat crossing and canyon walk at Wadi Shab, swim toward the waterfall cave, then continue to Sur and its traditional dhow shipyard.

   Day 4 - Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahiba Sands | Desert Camp. Enjoy Wadi Bani Khalid's clear natural pools, stop for lunch near Bidiyah, then enter Wahiba Sands for dune scenery, sunset and an overnight desert camp.

   Day 5 - Ras Ruwais, Sugar Dunes and Al Khaluf Beach | Sugar Dunes Camp. Cross Wahiba toward the Arabian Sea, see dunes meeting the ocean at Ras Ruwais, continue along Al Khaluf Beach, and stay among the pale Sugar Dunes.

   Day 6 - Sugar Dunes, Sinaw and Nizwa | Nizwa. Travel approximately 3.5 hours toward Nizwa with a stop at Sinaw, known for its traditional women's Thursday market, camel market and old settlements.

   Day 7 - Birkat Al Mouz and Jabal Akhdar | Nizwa. Explore Birkat Al Mouz's oasis ruins and falaj system, then ascend Jabal Akhdar for terraced farms, village walks, viewpoints and seasonal rose-water traditions.

   Day 8 - Jabal Shams, Al Hamra and Misfat Al Abriyeen | Nizwa. View Oman's Grand Canyon at Jabal Shams, explore Al Hamra's historic mud houses and traditions, and walk through Misfat's plantations, lanes and falaj channels.

   Day 9 - Nizwa, Jibreen and Bahla | Nizwa. Visit Nizwa's livestock auction when operating, Souq and Fort, tour 17th-century Jibreen Castle, and stop at UNESCO-listed Bahla Fort.

    Day 10 - Wadi Bani Awf, Snake Canyon, Bilad Sayt and Wakan | Muscat. Cross the mountains off-road through Wadi Bani Awf, stop at Snake Canyon and Bilad Sayt, then walk among Wakan Village's terraced gardens before returning to Muscat.
