Discover Oman's eastern landscapes on a private two-day journey from Muscat. Swim in the clear pools of Wadi Bani Khalid, cross the golden dunes of Wahiba Sands, and enjoy sunset, dinner, and an overnight stay at a desert camp. Continue through the coastal city of Sur to Wadi Shab for trekking and swimming, with Wadi Tiwi available as a sightseeing alternative, before visiting Bimmah Sinkhole and returning to Muscat.

Itinerary

    Day 1 - Muscat to Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahiba Sands | Desert Camp Depart Muscat and drive approximately 2.5 hours to Wadi Bani Khalid. Spend around two hours enjoying the oasis and clear natural pools. Continue to Bidiyah for a traditional lunch, then transfer by camp 4WD into Wahiba Sands. Arrive at the camp for dates and Arabic coffee, optional activities, sunset from the dunes, dinner, Bedouin dress experience, and an evening around the campfire.

    Day 2 - Wahiba Sands, Sur, Wadi Shab or Wadi Tiwi, and Bimmah Sinkhole | Muscat After breakfast, return to Bidiyah and drive approximately 1.5 hours to Sur. Visit the fishing port, dhow shipyard, lighthouse, and old coastal area. Continue 45 minutes to Wadi Shab for a boat crossing, canyon trek, and swimming toward the waterfall cave; Wadi Tiwi is available as a non-trekking alternative. Visit Bimmah Sinkhole before returning to Muscat along the coastal road.
